Looking for a year of professional experience in US? The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce that the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is accepting applications for the 2021-2022 academic year. The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship provides young and mid-career professionals with ten months of non-degree academic study and related professional experiences in the United States. Fellowships are granted competitively to both public and private sector candidates with strong leadership potential and a commitment to public service.
Requirements for the candidates:
Azerbaijani citizenship
Possess a first university/undergraduate degree
Have a minimum of 5 years full-time professional experience beyond attainment of an undergraduate/first university degree prior to August 2021
Demonstrated leadership qualities and a record of public service
English language ability (TOEFL score of 525 of paper-based or 71 internet-based or IELTS of 6.0-7.0 range)
Not be teachers/scientists/researchers with no management or policy responsibilities (except teachers of English as a second language and specialists in substance abuse prevention and treatment)
Not have attended a graduate school in the United States for one academic year or more during the seven years prior to August 2021
Not have recent U.S. experience of over six months during the five years prior to August 2021
Not have dual U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status
Not be U.S. Department of State employees or their immediate family members (including spouses)
Deadline for application is June 21, 11:59 pm, 2020 (Baku time)
